All Efforts Are Not Wasted. They're Stored.

If you’re a breaker, and especially if you just started breakdancing and want to learn new skills as fast as possible, at first, we get better with just discipline and effort. HOWEVER, growth gets stunted or slower over time as bad habits that didn't seem to be a problem at first grow larger.

For me, this "bad habit" was pushing myself too hard and resulting in psychological burnout, overuse injury on my rib, and damage to my chest cartilage. I was a firm believer that the more I worked, the better I would get. It was not until I got a stress fracture on my ribs did I realize how the principle exposed me to risks of injury. You can work hard — really hard — without being effective. If you're ambitious, we don't want to be wasting our time with ineffective training habits that come from the wrong mindset and input.

Alternatively, there are experts like personal trainers and athletic trainers out there who can help us train effectively and avoid injury, yet their prices are unrealistically high in Japan especially for students like me without any personal income. THIS IS WHY I created this website. Through interviews with professionals and a summary of scientific articles, I hope to help breakers find the sweet spot where they can grow to the best of their abilities without producing negative side effects.
